Daedong Accelerates AI-Driven Agricultural Transition, Announces Organizational Restructuring to Strengthen Control TowerDaedong, a leading agricultural machinery manufacturer, is moving to accelerate the artificial intelligence (AI) transformation of agriculture and has announced a major organizational restructuring and executive promotions aimed at reinforcing its business competitiveness.According to Daedong on the 11th, the latest restructuring and promotions focus on three key areas:△ reestablishing the company’s business operation framework,△ strengthening its strategic control tower, and△ enhancing global business competitiveness.In line with its AI transformation initiative, Daedong created a new Business Operations Division to reinforce the collaborative system between development and production while maximizing operational efficiency. Vice President Kwon Ki-jae (58) has been appointed to lead the division. Kwon will oversee the company’s production and development sectors, spearheading innovation across the entire product development cycle—from planning, R&D, and testing to production, procurement, and quality—based on AI-driven processes.Under the newly established Business Operations Division, Daedong plans to introduce a Support Headquarters to enhance on-site execution and managerial efficiency, further solidifying the company’s operational structure.To accelerate future business initiatives and strengthen management efficiency, Daedong has also significantly expanded the role of the Group Management Office. Executive Vice President Na Young-jung (58), who has served in key positions ranging from future business strategy to R&D and has been central to the group’s growth initiatives, has been promoted to head the department.The Group Management Office will now oversee three newly created units:– Group Strategy Division, which will lead the company’s AI transition roadmap;– Group Product Planning Division, responsible for company-wide AI-based product transformation and AI robotics initiatives;– IMC Division, which will guide Daedong’s global brand strategy.This restructuring aims to unify the processes of strategy development and execution across the organization.To further advance financial and managerial capabilities, the existing Management Planning Headquarters has been elevated to the Management Planning Division. This unit will integrate financial soundness management, business planning, and performance evaluation while acting as a control tower that balances strategic priorities across business sectors.Daedong also established the GBD Business Division and restructured its overseas business operations. The new unit will strengthen national distributors and B2B channels, diversify global distribution networks and partnerships, and expand the company’s international revenue base.Vice President Kwon Ki-jae, head of the Business Operations Division, said,“Through this restructuring, Daedong is realigning its business system around the future of agriculture in line with the government’s AI transition initiative.
